Nikko Bound

It’s once again that time of year where we turn our backs to the seaside and lose ourselves in the mountainous splendor of autumn. We were thoroughly enchanted by last year’s excursion and promised ourselves to return if we ended up hanging around for one more year… I can scarcely believe it is right around the corner!

We’ve made some minor improvements to our plans, which include taking an extra day to erase some stress out of the long drive and splurging on the toll roads we studiously avoided last year (successfully saving up for vacations is a wonderful thing). Armed with trail mix and snacks from thoughtful parents, a heavy jacket or three, and two fully functioning (as opposed to temperamental) cameras, we are ready to find new scenic treasures, reacquaint ourselves with old favorites, and enjoy the Creator’s creations once again.
